THE CHALLENGE
The idea of environmental sustainability is very well received by many. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, environmental sustainability is defined as “meeting our present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to fulfil their own needs”. As the population has increased rapidly, we will need more energy and materials. However, our planet can only provide so many resources before it begins to deplete. Hence, steps to achieve environmental sustainability must be taken from now.
This year, InvencMax 2.0 will be focusing on another global challenge which is ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY. Participants are required to propose only ONE innovative product related to environmental sustainability as an initiative to tackle with the environmental crisis.

WHAT'S MORE?
Every participating team is able to join a MENTORSHIP SESSION designed for 1.5 months to provide feedback towards the preparation of your team in brainstorming ideas and live pitching. Several WORKSHOPS will also be conducted during the period.
Apart from this, every participating team’s member will receive a PHYSICAL PARTICIPANT CERTIFICATE along with InvencMax 2.0 MERCHANDISE upon submitting all the content requested in Phase 1 and Phase 2.

Selvan A
Mr. Selvan A has 25 years working experience ranging from marketing & recruitment, academic compliance managing young talent profiling and many more. Apart from serving as the founder of Inspire People Venture, Mr. Selvan also actively volunteering in FutureLab online mentoring platform to provide impactful coaching to the mentees.
"In our current, precipitously evolving world, there are many young people who may feel alone or lost in their pursuit of goals and personal excellence. Adaptability is the key. I believe coaching and mentoring skills, active listening, asking the right questions, and leading/guiding my mentee in the right direction to achieve their goals (short-mid-long) are essential. I believe I can be a positive influence on my mentees' lives to create a meaningful life journey to success."

Tuck Wai Lee
Mr Lee is passionate about developing talent by providing people with broad-based experiences in client service, project delivery and innovation & solution building. He was Manager of Talent for the business group before the role as Director of Consulting Services where he had full operational responsibilities from project delivery, technology/innovation, business development, client service management, resources management, hiring/team building and people development. Mr Lee has a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering (NUS) and a Master of Science in Environmental Science & Engineering (NTU/Stanford). Experienced in leading several regional efforts in Water Resources and Ecosystems Management, Wastewater Management, Drinking Water & Reuse, Natural Treatment Systems, Conveyance, Climate Change adaptations, and Sustainable Solutions.

Jay Shong
Mr. Jay Shong is a young CFO with fresh perspectives. Overseeing both Australia and Malaysia operations, he advises through various engagements from VCs, budding entrepreneurs, start-ups and Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs). He specialised in supporting businesses to the nest level with finance operations optimization, financial modelling, and virtual CFO services. As a qualified CPA(Australia), he have spent the last 10 years of his career in Corporate Management Accounting & Finance mainly serving with Intercontinental Hotel Group(IHG) as well as subsidiaries of UMW Oil & Gas Bhd. He is also the Founder of Affinitive and Director of Keris Hijau Sdn Bhd, business mentor in FutureLab online mentoring platform and Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology & Innovation (MRANTI).

Ts.Vishantini Tangavaloo
Vishantini Tangavaloo obtained her Chemical Engineering degree from the University Technology Of Petronas (UTP) and her MS in Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering from the National University Of Malaysia. Currently, she heads the product development department at Synergy Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd. Her present research interests are focused on the oil & gas industry’s renewable energy and production enhancement. In recent years, she had developed recognised commercialisation products which were awarded the Spotlight New Technology Award at the Oil & Gas Conference Asia 2020. She has also developed technical and marketable introductions on energy optimization across the industry.

Presently, she actively mentors’ others and works with research in the field of production enhancement, renewables and energy optimization. Her expertise is in the areas of research management, patent writing and market research insight.

Vishantini is also a professional technologist in the oil & gas industry recognised by the Malaysian Board Of Technologists. She hosts her own podcast, The Innovator's MinutEs @T.I.M.E. where she speaks with fellow innovators who share and pitch their ideas for commercialisation. As a seasoned design thinking practitioner and advocate, Vishantini has vast experience in conducting workshops for university students, start-ups companies and her current workplace. She actively conducts webinars in order to raise awareness of the implications and benefits of implementing design thinking methodologies for business innovation and growth.
Vishantini is an HRDF accredited trainer.

Emee Marina Salleh
Dr Emee had earned her PhD. Degree (Materials Engineering) from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Her doctorate research was centred on the development of biodegradable Mg-Zn based on alloy and composite as biomedical materials. She has more than 3 years of teaching experience in public universities. She is a former post-doctoral researcher at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) from 2017 to 2019. Currently, Dr Emee is a Researcher Officer at the Mineral Research Centre, Department of Mineral and Geoscience Malaysia. She is also holding a position as Technical Manager in Unit of Dimension Stone. Her current research interest is focused on developing precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) with the aim of commercialization in various industrial markets locally and globally

Nicklaus Gan Zhau Hern
Nicklaus is a final year student from Multimedia University (MMU) currently pursuing his degree Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) Human Resource Management. Some of his achievements in the field of business competitions include Winner of the Hult Prize On Campus MMU 2020, Top 6 Regional Finalist in the Hult Prize 2020 Kuala Lumpur Hult Prize Regional, Semifinalist in the HSBC Business Case Competition 2021. Nicklaus has also been a Maybank #Mbassador 2021 and is currently the Head of Community Outreach of Monsta Asia and Vice President of the Monsta Asia Growth Committee.
He also has been active in sports based clubs, academic based clubs, events, business competitions, and emceeing in his university years. His passion lies in public speaking and leadership.

Jun Huo Yew
Jun Huo currently is a final year student studying Environmental Science and Technology at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He is also a mentor, speaker and panelist for several events and competitions invited by different universities and organizations. During his free time, he participated and won a lot of startups & case study competition, and actively involved in social impact, sustainability and youth empowerment work.
Finding creative solutions to problems is something he has always enjoyed. As an undergraduate, he always wanted to contribute and think of solutions to solve environmental & sustainability issues. Hence, he founded my social enterprise, Greenbox, intending to empower & motivate people in the sustainability field.
In his university year, he has worked with Sunway Group, Kaodim, Tropical Rainforest Research and Conservation Centre (TRCRC), SERUM Initiative, and Gintell Rest N Go with different roles and responsibilities, and he had gained much experience during the university years.

Shazwin Mat Taib
Dr Shazwin Mat Taib obtained her Degree from the Shiga University, Japan in 2002 under Malaysia Look East Policy Program.
She then received 5 years scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) Japan under Global Environmental Leaders (GELs) Program in Hiroshima University and obtained her Master in Sc in 2008 and PhD in Development Science in 2011.
She did her internship in Institute of Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) Japan before returned to Malaysia and serve in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia at the Department of Water and Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering School, Faculty of Engineering.
Currently she also hold a position as Deputy Director of UTM Campus Sustainability Office. Her research interest include resource management, sustainable consumption, circular economy and sustainability in Higher Education Institution (HEIs).
She has been awarded various international research grant with recent appointment in 2021 from Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) United Nations Environment Programme(UNEP) to conduct a project in Reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants in ASEAN countries.
