Rules & Submission Requirements

This competition is broken down into 3 phases.

Judging Criteria

The innovative product will be judged based on the following criteria:

PHASE ONE
1. Presentation slide (15%)
2. Literature Review (20%)
3. Video presentation (15%)
4. Overall view of the innovation product proposed (50%)
    a. Originality, creativity and novelty of the idea proposed.
    b. Design and aesthetics of the innovative product (materials used, user-friendly, accuracy of information).
    c. Practicality and impact of the innovative product (individual, community, economic growth, green environment).
    d. Sustainability of product
    e. Commercialisation potential of the innovative product (idea proposed can be improved, upgraded)
     f. Effects towards the environment and adherence to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

 

PHASE TWO
In Phase 2, all accepted submissions will be judged by both professional juries (60%) and the popularity voting contest (40%).


1. Criteria for professional juries:
    a. Originality and creativity
    b. Technical difficulty
    c. Prototype’s appearance and presentation
    d. Model content
    e. Critical thinking reflected in the prototype
    f. Bonus marks will be given if there is any quality quote that strongly describes the poster/prototype

2. Criteria for popularity voting contest:
    a. All competing teams are required to submit their poster, the virtual prototype image and a short video (optional) to the          organising committee, which will be posted on InvencMax 2.0 social media platforms.

    b. Voting platform and procedure will be announced during Phase 2.

 

PHASE THREE
In Phase 3, the live pitching session will be judged by professional juries. Please be noted that the mentoring session will also be counted as one of the judging criteria for Phase 3.


1. Criteria for professional juries:
    a. Content delivery
    b. Clarity of presentation (The use of visual, oral communication and effective public speaking, detailed presentation)
    c. Q&A session
2. Criteria for mentoring sessions:
    a. Minimum two sessions are attended by the participating teams.
